In collaboration with her Conway classmate Prithvi Rajesh, Nellie completed a site design for Nasami Native Nursery in Whately, MA. Nasami, a part of the Native Plant Trust, had the goals of expanding their research, propagation, and outreach operations in a way that understood the various legal and environmental limitations of the site. In response to these goals, the perspectives of various staff members at Nasami, and in-depth site analyses, Nellie and Prithvi explored multiple designs that could support the growth of the nursery, increase the efficiency of operations, support climate resiliency, and create more opportunities for education and research on site.
