We work on many scales, ranging from backyards to whole properties. No matter the scale or duration of a project, we always listen attentively to the needs of both the client and land.

consultations

If you’re unsure of what you’re looking for or aren’t ready to dive into a new project yet, we are happy to come visit and share insight during a site consultation. This could be a good time to brainstorm ideas or look at your land with new eyes.

site analysis & landscape design

Understanding a site’s conditions is an important part of the design process. We like to look at what the soil type is, where there is sun or shade, how water moves through the landscape, what is already growing onsite, what the human circulation/use is, and what the wildlife movements are. These analyses—integrated with the client’s goals—help to inform the landscape design. Once the designs are finished, we are also happy to explore planting plans (and related cost estimates) to bring the designs to life.

native garden installation & maintenance

We love getting our hands in the soil and working with plants. We install perennial plants, meadows, shrubs, and small trees. If just maintenance is needed, we might be a good fit - depending on your current landscape.

botanical surveys

Are you curious about the plants that are already growing on your land (native species and otherwise)? Nellie would be thrilled to visit your property and survey the existing plants in your woods, fields, or gardens. If you want to walk together and learn about your land, that’s even more preferred! This is a great opportunity to learn about your plant neighbors and what animal species they might already be supporting.
